    CAYMAN  ISLANDS


    The Cayman Islands are situated in the western part of the Caribbean Sea. They include three islands: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac, with respective areas of 197 km2, 26 km2, and 36 km2. George Town, the administrative capital, is located on the west coast of Grand Cayman. Cayman Brac Island is 193 km southwest of Punta Gasparito, on the south coast of Cuba, and 212 km northwest of Jamaica.







    DOMINICAN  REPUBLIC



    Located at 19º 00 N, 70º 40 W and 48 730 km2 in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic occupies two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola, which it shares with Haiti in the west.
    Its northern coast is bordered by the The Atlantic Ocean and its southern coast by the Caribbean Sea. It is separated from Puerto Rico to the east by the Mona Channel.
    The strength of the waves and the good wind make it the preferred destination for snowboarders. The turquoise waters, the large sandy beaches lined with coconut palms and the many reasonably priced resort hotels favor tourism.




    HAITI


    Haiti (in the long form of The Republic of Haiti, Haitian Creole Ayiti, and Repiblik Dayiti) is a country in the Greater The Antilles occupying the western third of the island of Hispaniola (about 27,750 km2). Its capital is Port-au-Prince and its highest point is the summit of La Selle (2680 meters above sea level).

     Located 87 km east-south-east of Cuba and bordering the Dominican Republic, the territory of Haiti is mainly made up of the western part of the island of Haiti also called "Terre Haute ou Montagne




    JAMAICA

    The island of Jamaica is made up of mountains inland, surrounded by a narrow coastal plain. That's why all major cities are situated on the coast. The principals' cities are Kingston, the capital, and Montego Bay. The Jamaican mountain ranges are called the Blue Mountains; they are part of the highest peaks of the West Indies.
      



    Climate

    The Jamaican climate is tropical, with a hot and humid climate, although the climate of the earth is more temperate. Rainfall is very uneven from one region to another (the northeast is more exposed) and is more abundant from June to December. The risk of cyclones weighs on the island in late summer and early fall.

    Geology

    Two-thirds of the island consists of limestone plateaus punctuated by many karst formations, the most spectacular of which are located in the "country of the cockpit".


    PORTO  RICO

    Puerto Rico is an archipelago consisting of four main islands, located in the Caribbean islands and located between The Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, east of the Dominican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands. The main island of Puerto Rico is the smallest and most eastern of the Greater Antilles group. The associated islands are Vieques, Culebra, east of the main island, Isla Mona, to the west, and some secondary islands. Only Vieques and Culebra are permanently inhabited. Puerto Rico has an area of   9104 km2 or a length of 174 km and a width of approximately 60 km. The capital, San Juan, is on the north coast of the island.

    The island of Puerto Rico lies directly south of a major ocean trench: the Puerto Rico Trench with a maximum depth of 8,605 meters. It is an essentially mountainous island, with large coastal areas to the north and south. The main mountain is called the Cordillera Central Puerto Rico, whose highest point is the Cerro de Punta, at 1338 m altitude. El Yunque (1,065 m), located in the Sierra de Luquillo, is an American national park.
